The SAF Parenting Workshop Overview
I. Parent Talk: Words that Empower, Words that Wound
Features effective ways of talking to children that enhance self-esteem, stimulate learning, and encourage autonomy. Helps parents learn and use verbal skills to uplift, nurture, and inspire. Increases parents’ ability to deal with typical daily situations and problems faced by all parents while communicating and expecting respect.
Includes the 10 Best/10 Worst things you can say to your children.
II. The 10 Commitments: Parenting with Purpose
This session is a celebration of conscious, enlightened, committed parenting. Parents leave motivated and re-committed to parenting with a passion.
Parents will learn the 10 commitments they need to make in order to raise responsible, caring, confident children in today’s world. During this session they are able to determine whether their behavior is congruent with their beliefs concerning the 10 commitments.
Raising children is a sacred responsibility. By recommitting to that responsibility, parents move closer to becoming the parent they always wanted to be.Grace-full Parenting: How to Infuse your Parenting with GraceIII. Grace-full parenting is enlightened parenting.
It is parenting that comes from the heart and offers an inspirational blend of love and guidance. It helps parents connect to their children soul to soul.
Parents will learn how to hold children in a state of grace, even as they hold them accountable for their behaviors. It will help them to communicate love and caring while simultaneously implementing necessary discipline strategies.
This session can help parents transform their parenting style, their family relationships, and their attitude towards the important and sacred role of parenting. Grace-full parenting will help participants nourish a child’s spirit as they guide them through the daily challenges of becoming who they are destined to be.
